About Ulvar

Ulvar is a singer-songwriter from Bremanger on the west coast of Norway. He sings in the dialect he grew up with, and his songs are about people and places along the coast. The music is rooted in the seventies, in folk rock with warm guitars and songs that tell a story. Country runs underneath it all. From Iceland he has brought the calm and the space between the notes. He writes his own lyrics, and many of them start with a sentence he overheard on the quay or in the local shop. On stage he plays with a band that keeps it loose and listening.
